Extended Care Program

St. John Vianney Catholic School provides care for students outside the school hours of operation. As stated previously, students are expected to follow school rules during extended care. Students who continually violate rules or directives given by those in charge will be asked to withdraw from the extended care program. This includes students who may refuse to be signed in at the appropriate times and are found wandering around campus unsupervised.

Before school, Extended Care operates from 6:30AM - 7:30AM in the Grand Hall. Access the Grand Hall via the entrance on La Pasada Boulevard. ALL students must be walked into morning care, as parents are required to sign in their child(ren).

After school, Extended Care operates from 3:00PM-5:00PM Monday through Thursday, and 12:40PM-5:00PM on early release Fridays. Further information may be obtained from the school office or on School Speak. Only those individuals listed on the “Emergency, Information and Immunization Record Card'' are allowed to sign out your child from Extended Care.

The cost for the extended care program is $5 per hour per child. If your child is not picked by 5:00PM, there will be an additional charge of $2 per minute. On the third late pick-up the child will not be able to continue in extended care. Additionally, failure to pick up your child within an appropriate time frame may result in a phone call to Child Protective Services. If you have an emergency, please notify the school as soon as possible. Full payment of aftercare is due monthly.

Supervision and Student Pick Up

All children will be carefully supervised. Children will be released only to adults listed as “ authorized to pick up” on the registration form and emergency form. This includes parents. Authorized persons will sign the child out each day in the aftercare program. Please wait at the extended care front desk for your child to be dismissed. We appreciate your patience while waiting for your child. If other arrangements for pick up are necessary, we require written notification. For safety reasons, messages left on the voicemail will not be accepted as notification regarding alternative arrangements. PLEASE KEEP YOUR REGISTRATION FORM UPDATED AT ALL.

*Please note that we are unable to accommodate parents calling the school office in advance of their arrival to pick up children. Please contact the extended care office at 623-258-0315 for extended care releases.

Please remember that your child must be signed out of the aftercare program by a person authorized for pick up even if your child is attending an evening function at school. No Child will be allowed to leave without being signed out by a designated adult (age 18 or older).

A child may be released to a non-custodial parent unless there is specific custody prohibiting their release from Maricopa Court System on file with St. John Vianney Catholic School.
